North American Consumer Project on Electronic Commerce (NACPEC)

NACPEC is a not-for profit Mexican organization supported through the work and collaborations of the academic sector that facilitates dissemination of information on the regulation of the Internet and e-commerce consumer protection. NACPEC focuses its work on six areas of internet policy: (1) general regulatory aspects in North America, Mexico and Europe, (2) jurisdiction and applicable law; (3) online dispute resolution; (4) spam and phishing; (5) spyware; and (6) identity theft. NACPEC provides legal advice and support to Mexican consumers who have experienced deceptive and fraudulent practices on the Internet, including privacy and data protection issues.
